Sonnet 54

The rose looks fair, but fairer we it deem
for that sweet odour which doth in it live.

The canker-blooms have full as deep a dye
as the perfumed tincture of the roses,
hang on such thorns and play as wantonlyImage and video hosting by TinyPic
when summer's breath their masked buds discloses:Image and video hosting by TinyPic
But, for their virtue only is their show,
they live unwoo'd and unrespected fade,
die to themselves.Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Sweet roses do not so;
of their sweet deaths are sweetest odours made:

and so of you, beauteous and lovely youth,
when that shall fade, my verse distills your truth.

I see people going down

I'm feeling totally down, with a little headache. I've spent the morning in the
beach, it's being a sunny day but not too hot. I just want to lay in my bed or sit on the balcony and have a smoke and breath the fresh salty air... but I can't. I've gotta be on my desk to study International Law. It sucks. The only thing that makes me feel better right now it's a glass of Lipton ice tea, and listen to some music. It would be perfect if a guy like Gainsbourg played the piano for me, just like in the picture, but since that's not gonna happen,
I'm content with listening to this song:

Ah, you've got such understanding ways
I believe everything that you say

When I think of all the things we've done
and we haven't even yet begun
Smiling faces not forgotten 'cause
I love you
